About Hortense
Hortense is a striking 2-year-old buff and white long-haired cat who’s still finding her footing after a rough beginning. She came from a home with an overwhelming number of cats and very little personal attention following her owner’s passing. Because of this, Hortense is drawn to quiet corners, often choosing to observe from under a bed or in out-of-the-way nooks where she feels less exposed. She isn’t unfriendly—just wary and shy, preferring a low-key environment and people who don’t rush her. With patience and calm, Hortense will start to show her gentle side in her own time. Adopters with a soft touch and realistic expectations will let her build confidence at her own pace. She may also be a candidate for a barn, shop, or working-cat placement if an indoor home proves too stressful. Hortense is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and current on vaccines and flea/tick prevention. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
