Meet Ruby, a 110-pound lap dog in training who hasn't quite realized she’s a giant. At just one year old, this stunning Great Dane is the definition of a "velcro dog." Since arriving from the shelter, she has made it her mission to master the classic Dane lean, pressing her tall frame against your legs to make sure you know exactly how much she adores you. She is a world-class snuggler who lives for affection and head scratches, proving that the biggest dogs often have the softest hearts. While she’s still adjusting to life after being a stray, Ruby’s personality is blooming more every day. She is currently learning the ropes of "how to dog," including the nuances of playing with other pups. Because she is a powerful girl who is still discovering her own strength and social manners, she would thrive with an adopter who has experience with giant breeds and can continue her positive socialization. She is a sensitive soul who is slowly but surely opening up, and watching her confidence grow is a truly rewarding experience. Ruby is looking for a family who understands that being a Great Dane is a big job that requires lots of love and a little bit of patience.
