About Letty

Letty is a sweet, social 3-month-old shepherd mix who loves making new friends. She’s expected to grow into a medium-sized dog and will make a wonderful companion for the right home. She’ll be ready to join her new family after April 22nd. Before adoption, Letty will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her first four puppy vaccinations. All adoptions also include a complimentary in-home training session to help set you both up for success. Adoption fee: $450

Chihuahuas handle Phoenix spring better than most breeds due to their warm-weather origins. However, by May the ground temperature becomes dangerous for their tiny, low-to-ground paws. Shift walks to grass surfaces and early morning hours as temperatures climb.

Despite their desert ancestry, Phoenix summers are too extreme even for Chihuahuas. Pavement reaches 170°F and their bellies are inches from the scorching ground. Strictly indoor with brief predawn potty breaks on grass only. Their small size means dehydration sets in faster.
