About Perseus
Perseus is looking for a second chance at a loving home. This 12-year-old Miniature Poodle is small at just 12 lbs and has a curly, white and apricot coat. Perseus came back to the rescue after his previous adopter’s family faced illness, but he’s still full of charm. Every day, you’ll catch him standing on his hind legs, eager for attention and affection. He prefers to spend his time lounging on the couch, soaking up sunbeams, or snuggling up with his people. Perseus isn’t overly vocal but will let you know when someone comes through the door. He’s shown nothing but friendliness to other dogs and delights in human company. Perseus did have a large perineal hernia when first rescued, which was surgically addressed, and he lives with a small non-surgical hernia that doesn’t impact his quality of life. He will never poop "normally" and occasionally needs a little help, but it’s manageable and guidance is provided. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and all recent bloodwork has looked good. A previous vet heard a grade 3 heart murmur, but subsequent checks by two other vets did not pick it up. Give Perseus the retirement he deserves. Your new best friend is just one click away.
