About Buddy
Buddy is a 1-year-old Shepherd/Pit mix who's shown real grit after being found injured and alone. Since arriving in Rockwall, TX, Buddy has faced his share of hardship: severe nerve damage in his front right leg led to amputation, but he's pushed through recovery with spirit. Now neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, Buddy is still healing and will need a home ready to support his adjustment to life as a tripod. His heartworm treatment is already sponsored, and adopters will take home any necessary medications to help him finish healing. Most dogs bounce back quickly after an amputation, and Buddy is expected to do the same, usually getting back to normal activity within a couple of weeks. Due to his recent surgery, he hasn't yet been tested with other dogs, so if there are canines in the household, a meet and greet is encouraged. He just needs a patient family willing to give him the time and care he deserves. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
