Meet April — a 7-year-old hound girl who has spent far too long being overlooked… and yet, she’s still as soft, gentle, and loving as they come. April was found as a stray, quietly surviving a life that clearly didn’t give her much. She’s now safe and finally receiving the care she deserves, including slow-kill heartworm treatment (fully covered). For what she’s been through, she asks for so little. She’s the definition of easygoing — a calm, quiet companion who doesn’t demand attention but will melt into it when it’s given. April gets along beautifully with both dogs and cats, making her an effortless addition to just about any home. There’s something especially tender about her… the way she looks at you, like she’s hoping this time will be different. April doesn’t need much. She just needs someone who wants a sweet hound lady by their side — a soft place to land, a gentle voice, and a promise that she won’t be forgotten again. Rescue Coop is a registered 501c that saves dogs from imminent euthanasia and at risk situations and transports them directly to approved adopters nationwide. We are located in SC but in three years, we have placed 450 dogs in 20 states. We post our dogs in the areas we regularly transport to. Our adoption fee is $200 with no additional transport charges. Unfortunately we are unable to do meet and greets but our adoption coordinators strive to make excellent matches.
