Cookie came into the shelter in very poor shape- covered with ticks and it's clear that she hasn't been loved and cared for the way that she deserves. We hope to find her a loving home here in Maine that will give her an amazing life. She's estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs about 25 lbs. She hasn't had much practice on leash so will need a family that will have the time and patience to work with her. Because she is so timid, a quiet home with older or no kids would be best. She's likely never lived in a home as a member of a beloved family, so will need some basic training and lots of love and attention. She is currently in AL but we hope to bring her to Maine in mid-May.
