Hi, I'm Kenai and I'm a sweet, energetic one year old boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. If you're looking for a cuddle buddy and an adventure partner, I might just be your guy. I love to run, play, and explore—but when the day winds down, I'm all about snuggling up close with my people. Toys are my favorite! I can spend hours chewing on bones, chasing balls, and squeaking my favorite squeaky toys. I also know how to sit and give paw—especially if treats are involved (I'm very motivated by snacks, just saying). I've been working hard on my manners and learning fast. When I first arrived, I got a little excited with treats and playtime, but with some guidance, I've already made great progress. I'm a smart boy who just needs someone willing to keep teaching me. I'll be honest—I've got a lot of energy and personality. I can get a bit jumpy when meeting people, and I'm still figuring out how to interact politely with other dogs, especially the calmer ones. I may do best with a family who understands huskies or is willing to continue my training and socialization. I also get a little anxious when left alone, so I'd love a home where I can feel secure and included. The good news? I'm not destructive at all—I stick to my toys and treats like a very good boy. I don't try to run off, and I'm eager to learn and please. I also do well with cats and even bunnies, which makes me a great fit for a home with smaller furry friends. My dream home would have a yard where I can burn off my endless energy, and a loving family who will play with me, guide me, and cuddle me at the end of the day. Our organization is foster based which means that we really know and understand our dogs personalities as our volunteers live each day in their house with our rescued dogs.
