**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. My name is Kai and I am looking for the person/family that is looking for a good boy. I’m 2 and a half and about 35 lbs. I am an amazing and loyal Staffordshire terrier mix. I am focused on walks by listening to your commands— even a rabbit or squirrel will not be able to take my attention away from you! Whether inside or outside, you call “KAI” once and I will fly to your side. Foster mom takes me to visit people and they think I’m quite the gentleman! I’m always around other dogs and even a cat but nothing fazes me. At night, foster mom says “ Kai crate” and I listen immediately. I’m not destructive in the household (I wouldn’t think of it!) I would love the attention of children ( and any one else for that matter). I will follow you and yours anywhere — I’m just that kind of a guy. Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
