About Mckinley
Mckinley is about 2 years old and came in as a stray with a limp in early January. She's a sweet, friendly terrier mix, mid-sized at around 28 pounds, and sports a short chocolate-brown coat. Chewing on bones and climbing into laps are two of her favorite things. Mckinley does well with other dogs, though she prefers a cat-free home. A birth defect had left her with an incomplete ball and socket joint in her rear right leg, but after FHO surgery and plenty of physical therapy, she's weight bearing and steadily regaining strength. Medications are done, and now she's just putting that final muscle back on before being cleared as completely healed. Mckinley is house trained, spayed, and vaccinated, and she's finally ready for adoption after her recovery. She is looking for someone to share a comfy lap and plenty of chew toys with.
