About Tulsa
Tulsa’s story starts in Oklahoma’s Ouachita National Forest, where she and her companion Reno were found trying to survive along the roadside. When Tulsa first arrived after this ordeal, she was covered in fleas and ticks, her skin raw and itchy, clearly uncomfortable and worn down. After a few weeks of treatment and care, she finally found some comfort, slowly getting her strength back. Tulsa remains shy and tends to keep to herself as she gets used to new routines and people, but patience pays off: underneath that timidity, there is a gentle, sweet-natured pup beginning to emerge. She builds confidence a little more every day. Ideally, Tulsa should go to a home with another confident dog—someone who can offer reassurance and guidance as she continues to settle in and grow.
