About Tortilla

Tortilla has endured her share of challenges but hasn’t lost her gentle spirit. This adult tortoiseshell cat was discovered outdoors fending for herself and her kittens. She’s naturally cautious, rooted in a strong instinct to protect and survive, but once she knows she’s safe, a softer side comes through. Tortilla will gradually reveal her affectionate nature—purring when petted, enjoying playtime, and even tolerating being picked up. Watching her relax and begin to trust is a quietly moving experience. She’s not much for feline company and really wants to be the only cat in the house. That way, she can fully settle in, feeling secure and comfortable without needing to compete for attention or territory. Tortilla needs a calm, patient adopter who understands that earning her trust takes time, not pressure. In return, she’s a low-key, loving companion who thrives in a quiet household. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and house trained, and will travel up north with full health certification included. She’s currently in Long Beach, MS and available through For Pet's Sake Rescue.
