Mia is a very sensitive girl who is used to her family and her routine. She loves to play with toys especially balls and toys that squeak. She will bark when she hears noises outside but is otherwise a pretty calm dog. She is mostly housetrained and will need a good schedule and routine. One thing to know about Mia - she will take about a week to really feel comfortable with her new family. She will require people to go at her pace and take it slow with interactions until she is ready. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. (Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.) #2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** If you're ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you'd like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org.
