About Harper Lee
Harper Lee came to the rescue in February, shy and unsure after losing her home and the people she loved. Over the past several months, her gentle nature has begun to shine through. Harper is a unique mix of Great Pyrenees, Maremma, Border Collie, and McNab, just under two years old. Her early years were spent indoors, so she’s still learning about the larger world and needs patience as new situations can leave her hesitant at first. With time, patience, and kindness, she transforms into a loyal, affectionate companion who bonds deeply with her person. Harper is currently working with a professional trainer, and her future adopter will receive lifetime support to help her succeed. She now enjoys quiet strolls through vineyards and relaxes on car rides. Meeting new people is getting easier for her every day, and she’s learning to calmly pass dogs on leash, though she isn’t ready for direct, off-leash play just yet. Her ideal home is quiet, preferably adult-only, with a bit of space for her to feel safe. Harper does not get along with cats and will do best as the only animal or among calm dogs. She shines when given time to settle in and will reward your patience with unwavering devotion and gentle companionship. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
