Oh my gosh, Kennebec Potato is that guy and a ladie's man to boot. He definitely gravitates towards our female staff and visitors, but warms to men. It just takes a slower approach and some patience. Kennebec Potato is a 51-lb husky mix and a total Pam Pass favorite in our Doggie Day Out program. He absolutely lives for his downtown walks—taking in all the sights, smells, and (most importantly) snacks. Food is his love language, and he’s not shy about it. One of his signature moves? When we walk him past a crate, he’ll dramatically plop himself right down, as if to say, “Actually, I think I’ll stay here until further notice.” It’s impossible not to laugh—he knows exactly how charming he’s being. With his goofy personality, snack motivation, and classic husky stubborn streak, Kennebec Potato makes every outing more fun and proves why he’s such a standout favorite. He is house trained, crate trained and just a lot of fun. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $300+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
