Cats, however, are simply too tempting for him to ignore, so he needs a cat-free household. He’s working on the finer points of obedience and leash manners, but he’s sharp and loves to focus when given one-on-one time. Captain’s high energy makes daily exercise—like hiking, running, or a big backyard—a must. Kennels aren’t his favorite, so expect some protest if he’s stuck inside one for too long. Since most of his life was outdoors, house training is still a work in progress, yet he’s picking it up fast.
