Meet Izzy (“Sissy”) Izzy is a gorgeous 3-year-old, 9 lb. little lady with a gentle soul and so much love to give—she just needs the right person to help her shine. At first, Izzy can be a bit shy and skittish in new situations, but with a little patience and kindness, she truly begins to blossom. Once she feels safe and learns to trust you, she forms a deep bond and becomes a loyal, loving companion who enjoys simply being near her person. She absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from having a canine friend around, so a home with another dog would be ideal for her. At night, Izzy is an easy roommate—she happily sleeps in her dog bed and settles in without a fuss. Izzy is still working on her house training and does have a habit of eating her poop, so she’ll need a patient and understanding home committed to helping her with consistency and routine. With the right guidance and a little time, she has all the potential to grow into a wonderful companion. Izzy is looking for someone who will see past her initial shyness and give her the chance she deserves. In return, she’ll offer quiet companionship, trust, and a whole lot of heart. We also utilize personal reference and vet checks (to ensure that any pets already in the potential adoptive home are current on vaccines, heart worm prevention and sterilized) in our adoption process, all of which is intended to ensure that the best match, between pet and people, is made. The adoption fee is based on on the dog's age.
