About Rusty
Rusty is in urgent need of a new foster home after his current caregiver became unable to continue. He’s ideally looking for a place without other dogs and with a secure backyard, so he can relax and not worry about passing other dogs on walks. His experience with cats is a mystery, as he’s never been around them. Recently rescued to avoid euthanasia, Rusty just finished heartworm treatment and is settling into home life. He’s about 4 to 5 years old, weighs 88 pounds, and sports a long, handsome coat. His vibe is quite chill—he bonds strongly to his person and tends to stick close. When left alone, he does just fine in a crate or free-roaming the house. Rusty can get overstimulated near other dogs, so right now he must be the only dog. He’s done alright with one female dog but needs more slow introductions before wider interactions. Right now, he’s best as your one and only. Don’t let Rusty fall through the cracks—he’s ready for someone to step up and give him a steady, dog-free home where he can finally settle in. Your new best friend is just one click away.
