About Bahstet

Let''s chat about Bahstet...... Bahstet, a black and white tuxedo and her sister Kasha, an orange tabby are sisters who came into my life as Tart and Tang in February, 2024. Bahstat is 3 years old. From the beginning, it was clear that she was a sensitive, observant, and cautious cat—more the quiet watcher than the bold explorer. I knew when I adopted her that she was skittish and reserved, and I was completely prepared to love her exactly as she was. Bahstet is the more outgoing of the two and continues to grow braver with time. She is playful, confident in her own way, and delightfully bossy. When I’m away at work, she will actively seek out my girlfriend for attention and pets, and she has started to show curiosity and initiative rather than simply hiding. She likes to be involved and has a strong personality once she feels safe. Unfortunately, she is fearful of men in general, and especially men in uniform—which has been a challenge, as I am active duty in the Marine Corps and will remain so. Even the universal magic of Churu hasn’t fully bridged that gap. Bahstet is healthy, fully up to date on vaccines, and wonderfully well-adjusted in many other ways. Bahstet is great with other cats and even dogs. You’ll often find Bahstet curled up together with her sister, sharing beds, shelves, drawers, or any cozy nook they can claim as their own. The photos capture this perfectly: whether tucked into a drawer, nestled under furniture, or perched together observing the room, they move through life as a team. Bahstet will bring a cat’s joy and peace to your life. Are you ready to meet her and decide that she is purrrrrfect for you????? Herbags are packed, and she is ready to go to your home for a Meet and Greet. If you would like to meet her, the first step is to complete the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL) Adoption Application located on the HAL website.
