About Lhasa Apso Dogs

Lhasa Apsos are small, confident dogs originally bred as sentinel dogs in Tibetan monasteries and palaces. Their luxurious long coat, which parts at the spine and flows to the floor, is their most striking feature. Despite their glamorous appearance, they are tough, independent dogs.

Adopting a Lhasa Apso brings a loyal, watchful companion who is devoted to their family. They are excellent apartment dogs, good with adults and older children, and have a dignified bearing that belies their playful side. Their long lifespan means many years of companionship.
