You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Callie is a 4-year old tri-black female. She weighs 27 pounds and has short hair. She is spayed and ready for her new family. Callie gets along with our male Sheltie. Since she is older and not as active she does get irritated with him and will let him know she has had enough. She has some Interest in toys. I have not seen her around children. She is reserved and leery of new experiences. She is still learning to walk on a leash. She is unsure of hallways and doorways. When she is unsure what to do, she will drop to the ground and roll on her back as a sign of submission. But, if you need to move her, she is happy to be carried. Currently, she has to be carried out of the room where the kennel is located to the back door to go potty. But, once outside that room she will go outside and between the main part of the house independently. She is very loving and will come to you for attention. She gives sweet kisses and will whimper when she needs outside. She is crate and house trained. She loves car rides and is not scared of storms. She learns quickly and responds well with treats. She would benefit from a home with another small dog close to her age. Callie would love someone willing and patient to help her learn how to navigate new experiences. She is really a sweet dog and will make a wonderful companion. A fenced, secure yard is required. Kansas City area adoption only.
