I'm Rowan-a 19-pound Chihuahua mix with a goofy streak and a curious spirit! I might seem a little independent when we first meet, but give me a bit of time to settle in and you'll start to see my fun, energetic side shine through. Once I'm comfortable, I get this adorable pep in my step-and yes, I'm definitely known to zoom around when the mood hits! I absolutely love being outside, soaking up the fresh air and exploring everything around me. Adventure calls my name, and I'm always ready to answer it. I'm a fairly active guy, so I'd do best in a home that can keep up with me and give me plenty to do. I'm also a super sweet boy who enjoys affection, especially when it comes to butt scratches-I'll happily shove my whole body into you to get more of them! I do want to be upfront that I can be a little protective over my food and possibly other special things like toys, bones, or even my favorite people, so I'll need a home that understands and respects my boundaries while helping me continue to grow and learn. Overall, I'm a lovable, adventurous companion who's ready to find someone patient and active to share all of life's little adventures with! My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
