About Joy

Joy is an adult brindle and gold pit/ plot hound mix. She brought to our shelter because her owners could no longer care for her. Joy is as sweet as can be, gets along well with other dogs, is both leash and house trained. Her forever home needs to be with a person or family who is compassionate to her past and will provide her with all the luxuries this girl deserves. All HSGC pets come with their medical file that shows they have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and current on heartworm/flea and tick prevention. About Plott Hound Dogs

Plott Hounds are powerful, determined scent hounds and the state dog of North Carolina. They are the only coonhound breed not descended from English Foxhounds, instead tracing their ancestry to German hunting dogs. Their brindle coat and tenacious personality make them distinctive among hound breeds.

Adopting a Plott Hound brings a loyal, courageous companion who is gentle and affectionate at home. They are great with children, friendly with other dogs, and devoted to their family. Their moderate energy and steady temperament make them adaptable family pets.
