Lewis is a playful, neutered male with a brindle coat and short fur, and he’s considered a medium-sized Plott Hound/Pit Bull Terrier mix. He’s house trained, vaccinated, and currently located in Hot Springs, AR. He has come a long way since coming into rescue and is looking for a new beginning.

About Lewis

Lewis came to the shelter after surviving a miserable hoarding situation, arriving with a handful of other dogs who’d barely seen people. Despite his tough start, Lewis has made real progress since being here. He’s estimated around 4 years old, weighs about 45 pounds, and is an upbeat, playful spirit. Out on walks, he handles the leash just fine and lights up with energy. While he gets along with some dogs, he’s selective—so any adopter should plan to bring current pups by for a meet and greet. You’ll receive a full medical record for Lewis, including proof he’s neutered, up to date on all shots, tested for heartworm, and has ongoing preventives. Lewis has called the shelter home since April 2025 and he’d love to head out. Click apply to start the adoption process.
