Meet Gibson - a sweet, playful young boy who's just waiting to build his confidence with his new family! At 1 year and 7 months old and 59 pounds, Gibson is a fun-loving pup with a gentle heart. He can be a little nervous at times, but he warms up to people quickly and soon shows off his affectionate, silly side. Gibson is easy to get out of the kennel and enjoys getting out for a nice walk. He walks well on leash with little to no pulling, making him a pleasant companion for strolls and outdoor time. In the car, Gibson is still learning the ropes. He may be hesitant to jump in on his own and might need a little help getting started. Once inside, he generally rides well-especially with the windows down, which he clearly enjoys! He can get a bit antsy if stopped for too long and has shown that he may try to move up front or chew through restraints. He will need a strong, secure tether in the car-not only because he may chew through a regular leash, but also because he may try to dart out quickly when the door is opened. Gibson is very playful and absolutely loves toys, especially chasing after a ball and keeping himself entertained. Once he feels comfortable, he shows his softer side too, happily seeking affection and even offering his baby-soft belly for rubs. He seems to know some basic commands and responds well to guidance, making him a great candidate for continued training. He's eager to connect and learn. Gibson does okay with baths-while a bit hesitant at first, he settles in and tolerates the process well with a little encouragement. Overall, Gibson is a very sweet, playful boy who just needs a little time and patience to feel fully confident. With love, structure, and reassurance, he's sure to blossom into an incredibly loyal and fun companion.
