Meet Cocoa 🍫🐾 Cocoa is a 10 month old, 40-pound tan-and-white Staffie mix with a big heart and even bigger energy. She’s the kind of dog who wakes up ready to live life fully—whether that means chasing a ball, going for a walk, or soaking up attention from her people. The Good Stuff Cocoa walks nicely on a leash and absolutely loves to play—especially fetch (fair warning: she sometimes decides the ball is hers forever… we’re working on that 😄). She’s affectionate, sweet-natured, and clearly eager to bond with her person or family. A Little Bit of Her Story When Cocoa first arrived, she had a rash near her hind legs/bum area that suggested she may have been confined in a crate for long periods without proper care. Since coming into the shelter, getting cleaned up, and being given the attention she deserves, her condition has improved dramatically and is now completely healed. What that tells us is that Cocoa hasn’t always had the easiest start—but she’s more than ready for a fresh chapter. What Cocoa Needs Cocoa will thrive in a home that understands her energy and her need for companionship: A person or family who is home more often than not Kids 10 and up (she’s a bit bouncy when excited) A fenced-in yard would be a huge plus for burning off that playful energy Plenty of exercise, structure, and LOVE She doesn’t do well being confined for long stretches, so she’s really looking for a lifestyle where she can be part of the action—not left on the sidelines.
