About Ramona
Ramona (she also goes by Mona, Moni, or Momo) is the kind of dog people tend to scroll pastāa big, older, mixed-breed girl from Kern County who was almost out of time. Not because she isnāt wonderful, but because sheās not flashy or trendy. But Ramona breaks the mold. Once volunteers spent time with her, it was obvious: sheās gentle, easy, and genuinely happy for any bit of kindness. Sheās a 75lb blend, part American Pit Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, Chow Chow, German Shepherd, and a pinch of Supermuttāher DNA doesnāt need a brand name, it just works. Her frosted face lights up when she does her signature toe-tap hop, especially when thereās food or attention. Ramona is house and potty trained, totally crate trained (though sheād rather lounge on a couch), and gets along well with respectful medium and large dogs. Sheās calm and no-drama, preferring comfort, peace, and the company of people who donāt care about labels. She just wants what any dog deserves: a safe place, some good meals, and someone who means it when they say forever. Sheās been overlooked too many times. If youāre looking for a laid-back, soulful companion, Ramona is more than ready to meet you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.

Ramonaās breed mix appreciates outdoor time, but sheās not high-energy at this stage. A yard is nice but not mandatoryāsheās content with gentle walks and a comfy spot indoors.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Large mixed-breed seniors like Ramona can do well with calm, respectful children, especially in quieter homes. Younger or rambunctious kids may overwhelm her.
