I’ve been here before… I was adopted and thought I found my forever, but it turns out I just wasn’t the right fit for their home with little kids. The good news? My last family really cared about me and helped the shelter learn so much about who I am and what I need to succeed. So here I am again—hoping this time, we get it just right. 💛 I’m a neutered male with a lower adoption fee, but that’s not because I’m “less than.” It’s because I need a very specific kind of home—and when I find my person, I am incredibly loyal. Let’s be honest about me: I’m not comfortable with loud noises, small kids, tall people, strangers, car rides, or cats. I can also be protective of my things around strangers. Because of that, I need a quiet, low-traffic home with a single person or a calm couple who understands boundaries and will advocate for me. But here’s the other side of me—the part that makes me so special: I’m potty trained, leash trained, and I stay in the yard like a good boy. I’m very food motivated, which makes working with me fun and rewarding. I LOVE being active—hiking, camping, adventures… I am all in. 🏕️🐕 I’m playful, energetic, and once I trust you, I am deeply loyal and protective in the best way. I don’t resource guard with my people—I just need time to know you’re mine. And my kennel? That’s my safe space. Whether the door is open or closed, it’s where I go to relax and feel secure. It’s important to me, and I’d love a home that respects that. I know I’m not the easiest dog here… but I’m also not a lost cause. I just need someone who understands me, gives me structure, and lets me be their companion in a calm, predictable world.
