About Miss Polly

Miss Polly’s journey has been a blend of hardship and hope. She was found in South Salt Lake with a badly injured foot, likely from a trap, but managed to free herself. After surgery at the shelter and some time in a foster home, Polly surprised everyone by giving birth to six puppies, all while coping with her recent ordeal. Her puppies temporarily went to a partner rescue to be bottle-fed, giving Polly time to decompress and get comfortable with her caretakers. She soon let her affectionate, gentle personality shine through, and welcomed her puppies back without missing a beat. All of Polly’s puppies have been adopted, and now it’s her turn. After her spay, Polly's damaged leg was finally amputated, leaving her as a spirited, three-legged dog who doesn't let it slow her down. She enjoys playtime, running, and the company of dogs of all sizes. Polly can be a little shy with men at first but warms up quickly with a gentle approach. She's great with new people and children. Cats, however, are a bit too tempting for Polly, so a cat-free home is best. She’s been a devoted mom and is ready to settle in as someone’s beloved companion. Ready to fall in love?
