About Cody
Cody is a striking Golden Retriever looking for a dedicated, experienced adopter who can provide steady guidance and an active routine. Returned to rescue after his initial adopter was unable to give him the structure he needs, Cody has since put in real work during a board-and-train program and is now in a committed foster home with a professional trainer. He’s smart and motivated to learn, with high energy and a real love for staying active, but he needs a home committed to 1.5 hours of daily exercise and enrichment. Cody does have a bite history due to a lack of structure in his first placement—he needs consistent leadership, ongoing training, and a home without children. He must be the only dog unless you’re highly experienced with behavioral cases. His adopter will need to work closely with a trainer and remain in contact with the rescue if anything ever changes. If you’re ready to invest the time and structure Cody deserves, he’ll reward you with his intelligence and loyalty. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
