About Hallie

Hallie had spent her entire life confined so when she first arrived in her foster home, she was in awe that so much space existed in the world. She explored the house and fenced yard in wide-eyed amazement. She got the zoomies on day one and has continued those every day. Hallie came into rescue as a young mother with three puppies. She was a loving and nurturing mother to her pups. She quickly warmed up to foster mom. She learned that being petted by her foster mom was a wonderful thing and now wants lots of attention and is a great snuggler. She loves sweet talk and belly rubs! Hallie loves being able to sleep in the big bed curled up against foster mom and loves soft beds and blankets. Her foster brother taught her and her puppies how to play with toys. Hallie learned how fun toys can be and it has been a joy to watch her face light up while running around and playing, especially given her prior life of confinement. She learned how to use the doggie doors from watching her foster brother. She eats well, shows no food aggression, and especially loves the routine of bedtime cookies and sits well to gently take treats. Hallie was scared of foster dad. She had never been around men before. She has warmed up some and takes treats from his hand, gets excited when he comes home, but still doesn’t want him to pet her. She is guarded around new people, especially men. She has shown no aggression, her response is to shy away and will bark at men from a distance. Now that her pups are raised, it is time for Hallie to be the center of attention and begin her next chapter! Hallie is still a work in progress! She has come a long way and has so much potential. She will blossom with an owner who is willing to work with her on gaining confidence around new people and her fear of confinement. She would greatly benefit from working with a trainer especially in a board and train program. She is incredibly smart, she just needs the confidence that obedience training would provide. With lots of love and continued training, her best life is yet to come!
