About Sopapilla
Sopapilla A183725 30 lb. spayed female, approx 7 months old -This pup can be a little nervous and unsure in new situations. Well....she's just a baby so we get it! -In the yard she spent a lot of time sniffing and exploring, often coming back to check in for pets -Inside she was cautiously exploring everything....Stretched out and investigating....taking it all in. -She is treat motivated, sits and takes them nicely. Most times when asked to "sit" she lays down instead. -She enjoys pets and belly rubs -She is wiggly and always on the move -She chased a stuffie but didn't engage in play. I think it actually scared her. Quick movements and especially my squeaker made her run away and set her off on some nervous zoomies. -She definitely needs some time and patience. She is very sweet and loving though! -She's affectionate and gives kisses -When it's time for a walk she initially shoots out like a firecracker...but after a minute or so she settles in and walks nicely. -Will need some puppy training. Please keep that in mind if you want a puppy. They require time and patience to be the best that they can be! -Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids *Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt *Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. *Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. *There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. *To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** *The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit
