Meet Pita! Pita is a English coonhound, pitbull terrier mix, born early January 2026! Pita is affectionate, loving, and energetic! He loves other dogs and kids, but has not been tested around cats! Pita loves everyone and just wants to be near his people. He’s enthusiastic about everything and is just so sweet. Pita literally just LOVES life. He is working on his potty training and is crate trained! He enjoys to be outside and does pull on his leash a little but he is working on it! He just loves to make you smile and love his people so so much! He is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
