About Corgi Dogs

Corgis are beloved small herding dogs famous for their short legs, long bodies, and big personalities. Originally bred to herd cattle in Wales, they combine a sturdy, athletic build with an adorable appearance that has made them one of the most popular breeds worldwide.

Adopting a Corgi means bringing home an intelligent, loyal companion with a great sense of humor. They are surprisingly athletic despite their short stature and love participating in family activities. Their alert, friendly nature and manageable size make them wonderful family pets.

Chihuahuas handle Phoenix spring better than most breeds due to their warm-weather origins. However, by May the ground temperature becomes dangerous for their tiny, low-to-ground paws. Shift walks to grass surfaces and early morning hours as temperatures climb.

Jun – Aug

Despite their desert ancestry, Phoenix summers are too extreme even for Chihuahuas. Pavement reaches 170°F and their bellies are inches from the scorching ground. Strictly indoor with brief predawn potty breaks on grass only. Their small size means dehydration sets in faster.
