About Byron

Byron is a big, cheerful pup with a flashy brindle and white coat, weighing about 65 pounds at just 9 months old. He’s a Pit Bull–type mix, growing up in foster care after a rough start as a stray. Byron’s resilient and affectionate—a perfect example of why bully breeds earn such loyal fans. He’s still learning the ropes, like house training and leash manners, and benefits from patient guidance and structure. With his high energy and eagerness, Byron needs a committed home that can offer both exercise and mental enrichment. A fenced yard is ideal and Byron’s size and activity level are better suited to a house than an apartment. He does well with other playful dogs but hasn’t been tested with cats, so a cat-free home or an adopter ready for slow introductions makes sense. He'd do fine with respectful, dog-savvy kids, given his enthusiasm. Health-wise, he’s neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a new start. Due to Texas shelter overcrowding, all adoptions (including Byron’s) are finalized before transport out of state; adopters won’t be able to meet him first. Byron’s ready for someone to invest in him and show him what a real home feels like. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
