Maya gets along with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a wonderful fit for a variety of homes.

About Maya

Maya landed in the riverside shelter heavily pregnant and underweight, but even then her personality shined. She delivered twelve pups there, though sadly only eight survived. Foster care helped her regain some strength, and her sweet nature has stood out from the beginning. At heart, Maya still thinks she’s a lap dog, even though she’s a big Great Dane. She’s mastered the classic "dane lean" and craves attention. She gets along well with other dogs, but she can be a bit particular about her canine friends upfront. Maya walks nicely on a leash and is fully house trained. She’s also a good fit for families with kids and gets along with cats too. Fun fact: Born February 15th, Maya is an Aquarius—a sign known for intelligence and loyalty. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
