About Margaret
Weighing only 45 lbs, Margaret is packed with nothing but pure love. A true companion, she is happiest snuggled up beside you, following you around like your own personal assistant. Never meeting a stranger, this happy, unflappable girl would be a fantastic adventure buddy, handling crowded public settings with ease. Potty-trained and a quick learner, she just wants to make you happy however she can. This lovely lady is ready to steal your shoes AND your heart. (Don’t worry, she’ll at least return the shoes!) -Happy, affectionate, responsive, petite sweetheart -Potty-trained -Best as a single dog where she can get all of your love, but also would be suited for a dog companion who has a calm, unbothered, more submissive type personality. She doesn’t seem to love when new dogs come into her face to enthusiastically greet her. -Medium energy -Enjoys a nice long hike but also happy curled up on the couch beside you -Fantastic in public settings, she is quick to settle and stretch out -Nonreactive to passing dogs (even when they barked at her), people, bikes, and scooters -Met younger kids and was incredibly gentle with them; however, best with 16+ kids due to resource guarding -Not very jumpy -Good on leash + responsive to handler -Loves being close to her people, giving maximum cuddles, so be ready for her to follow you around everywhere -Sleeps soundly throughout the night -When excited, she loves picking up shoes and running around the house, showing them off like trophies (not chewing on them) -Tolerant of nail trims and bathtime -Treat-motivated, so training comes easier + she enjoys picking up new commands quickly and with ease -Knows “sit,” “stay,” “bed,” and “ok” (release) -Best fed separately from other dogs -Enthusiastic about belly rubs and wiggling around like a rolly-polly -Respectful of your boundaries, listens, and takes corrections well -Rides well in car and loves seeing the new sights -Content to snooze away on the sofa while you’re at work (she doesn’t love the crate, but who can blame her) -Her tail rarely stops wagging -A soft, silky smooth coat!
