Honey
AvailableHoney is a young, medium-sized Anatolian Shepherd mix with a medium coat length. She is spayed, vaccinated, and currently located in Woolwich, ME. Though not yet house trained, she’s eager to learn and would do well in a family ready for the challenges and rewards of raising a puppy.
About Honey
Honey’s eyes say what words can’t: she wants to believe people can be kind, she just hasn’t had much proof of it yet. Life started rough for her—she and her siblings came from a hoarding situation and spent most of their lives outdoors. Inside, though, she’s gentle, shy, and very much a blank slate puppy who wants to trust her people. At only about 4 months old, she’s got that soft, cautious curiosity you’ll recognize if you’ve ever met a dog trying to warm up to a new start. With patience and a committed family, Honey should open up quickly—especially if she’s included in daily family life, adventures, and plenty of snuggles. She’ll need the usual puppy guidance: house training, crate routines, walks, and learning the basics. Her Anatolian Shepherd mix heritage means she’s likely to grow into a larger dog and thrive in a home where people are around more often than not. She’s good with other dogs and children. Right now, Honey is in Alabama, but she’ll be heading to Maine in mid-May and hoping someone is ready to show her what a real home can be. Your new best friend is just one click away.
