About Millie

Millie is a 6 1/2-year-old Boxer/Labrador mix with a sweet, gentle nature and a full tail. Raised indoors, she's used to family life and craves attention—especially enjoying neck scratches and being close to her people. While she can be shy at first, a few visits are usually enough for Millie to open up and show her affectionate side. She’s not aggressive but can get vocal and whiny when she feels left out, clearly wanting to be in the center of attention. Millie has done well with other animals and children, although she’s a bit protective of her food. She can follow basic commands like sit and come, particularly when motivated by food. Millie needs some help with leash training as she’s mostly lived with a fenced yard and hasn’t had much time out in the wider world. Recently, she’s been dealing with a possible torn ACL in her back leg, so her exercise has been limited and she’ll require some rehab—possibly even surgery—for her injury. Despite this, she still gets around and sticks close when outside. With a little patience and some extra care, Millie will be a devoted family member who just needs a little extra help and understanding to thrive. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
