Prometheus
AvailablePrometheus is a male, black, medium-sized domestic short hair cat currently living in Plainfield, NJ. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, house trained, and has a short, easy-care coat. Even as a senior, Prometheus still has a playful side and gets along well with other cats.
About Prometheus
Prometheus lives up to his legendary name with his big personality packed into a compact, black, short-haired frame. He arrived at the shelter pretty battered, uncertain about people, and not eager to make friends. In those early days, he stayed hunched at the back of his cage, casting dirty looks at anyone who disrupted his personal space. Slowly, Prometheus started to open up. Now, he’ll greet visitors with headbutts against the cage door and gets delightfully goofy with his plush mouse toys. He’s nearly eleven but still goofs around like a kitten, sometimes ending up with a head full of litter after playtime. Prometheus isn’t looking for constant cuddling—he prefers quick pets and good head scratches before retreating to do his own thing. If you like your cats with a little attitude and a lot of heart, he might be your match. Prometheus also does well with cats but isn’t a fan of dogs. Senior pets rarely get the attention they deserve. He’s ready for his second chance and would love a home that gets his unique brand of sweet and sour. Click apply to start the adoption process.
