About Tarzan
Tarzan is a small-to-medium terrier mix, weighing in at just under 40 lbs, who’s finally having fun after a rough start. Found as a stray in Gulfport, he arrived with a limp that needed surgery. Now fully healed, his zoomies prove just how ready he is for the good life. Tarzan is 2 years old and picks up on house routines fast—he’s likely housebroken and not one to cause trouble indoors. He gets along well with other dogs and handles corrections with a good sense of humor, even when his play gets a little wild. Friendly with people and happy in the yard, he’s an easy fit for families, including those with children. Tarzan does have special health needs: he’s heartworm positive, but with proper treatment he has every reason to live a long, healthy life. His adoption fee is covered and includes his neuter surgery, up-to-date vaccines, microchip, and even transportation to select locations. While a fenced yard isn’t required, and he’s open to meeting adopters at approved transport destinations, he can’t be adopted to families in MA or RI due to regulations. Tarzan is ready for a second chance—a bright, affectionate dog who just needs someone willing to bring him home. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
