ABOUT YODA Yoda is a 5-year-old Boxer mix who is full of life! He came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in Louisiana when they no longer had space for him, but as his name would imply, "found he was, hope there still is." Despite everything, this pup is just happy to be saved and ready for his next adventure. Like a true little Jedi, Yoda is a happy-go-lucky, wiggly boy with the sweetest temperament. He loves going on walks, chasing tennis balls, and, of course, any mission that involves snacks. The Force is strong with this one... especially when treats are around! Yoda is incredibly food-motivated and eager to please. He already knows basic commands, appears house-trained, and will follow you anywhere if food is involved. Yoda has also LOVED participating in local community events and fundraisers, where he shines bright, winning over kids and other dogs alike like the social butterfly he is. Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
