Dutchess is a playful and smart German Shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix living in Watertown, CT. She’s an adult female, about 2 years old and a month, with a medium size and a striking black, brown, and red merle coat of medium length. Dutchess is house trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations.

About Dutchesswatch video

Dutchess came to the shelter pregnant and moved into a foster home just in time to safely have her pups. Now that she’s weaned her litter, she’s ready for a new start. At around 2 years old, Dutchess still has plenty of playful energy but also knows how to relax with her people. She’s got a long-legged build and really enjoys running and stretching out, so she’ll do best with a yard to roam. Regular walks, jogs, and trips to the dog park would suit her well. Dutchess gets along with other dogs, especially after a thoughtful introduction, and she’s making real progress on her leash training. She’ll be available for adoption mid-June after finishing up her heartworm treatment, and she’ll come spayed and fully vetted—including vaccinations and preventive care. Dutchess is a Taurus—no surprise she likes her chill time almost as much as her play sessions. Dutchess is in Watertown, CT. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
