Rusty is a young, medium-sized, neutered male mixed-breed domestic cat currently in River Ridge, LA. He is house trained, and he has special needs due to a neurological condition, but this does not diminish his playful spirit or zest for life. As a bonded sibling, Rusty is looking for a forever home together with Blaze.

About Rusty

Rusty and Blaze don’t let their wobbly gait slow them down for a second. These bonded orange tabby siblings are loaded with personality and affection. Whether they’re birdwatching from a sunny window, chasing down toys, or curled up purring with a trusted friend, life is full for these two. Both Rusty and Blaze have Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a neurological condition that creates their signature wobble. It’s not painful, it doesn’t progress, and it certainly doesn’t crush their spirits. Rusty is the social one—curious, playful, and always the first to grab a toy or greet a guest. Blaze is more reserved at first, but once she feels safe, she shows her soft, loving nature. Rugs and carpets help with their stability, but they get around, eat, drink, and use the litter box all on their own. What they want most is a family ready to look past the wobble and see two resilient, joyful cats who thrive together. Rusty and Blaze must be adopted as a pair. Share their story and help them find the loving home they deserve. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
