About Remy
Meet our one-of-a-kind little star! This 3-year-old Pomeranian may have just one eye, but don’t let that fool you—he sees the world with twice the personality. Full of charm, confidence, and a dash of sass, he’s always ready to make you smile. Friendly and social, he loves meeting new people and will happily trot over to say hello, soaking up attention like the true star he is. Whether he’s strutting around like he owns the place or curling up beside you for some cozy time, he brings joy and laughter wherever he goes. His unique look only adds to his character, and he carries it with pride. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion with a big heart and an unforgettable face, this little guy is ready to steal yours. This dog was born without a fully formed right eye and lacks vision on the right side of his head. He does have a small amount of tear-producing tissue on the right side. While he has been living comfortably without any treatment, the adopter will need to ensure that the skin and fur around his right eye stay clean and dry to prevent any rashes or skin infections from developing. Remy is available for preadoption - come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery! The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation is now offering “Pawsitivity Bucks” with every dog adoption. This $200 training voucher is a way for newly adopted canines and their guardians to connect with local positive reinforcement based behavior consultants and get their relationship started off on the right paw! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
