Iris is a large, adult, mixed-breed Shepherd with a lovely cream coat, currently in Oceanside, CA. She has been spayed and her vaccinations are up to date. Iris does not get along with other dogs and will need to be the only dog in her new home.

About Iris

Iris arrived at the shelter alongside her best friend Zeus, both surrendered by their previous owner. These two are a tight-knit pair, offering double the companionship, silliness, and affection. Iris is known for her warmth and keen attentiveness to Zeus—she even alerts when Zeus has his occasional seizures, serving as not just a playmate but also his guardian. When meeting new people, Iris can be a bit vocal at first, barking at strangers, but she quickly eases up and shares her affectionate side once acquainted. The bond between Iris and Zeus is undeniably strong, but they need a home where there are no other dogs. And while they adore each other, separate feeding spots are a must to keep the peace. Iris has had her vaccines, is microchipped and spayed, and is ready for her next chapter. If you’re looking for a pair that brings as much heart as fun, Iris (and Zeus) might be the match. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
