Meet Cola, the lovely 1 year old male Hound mix seeking his forever home. This 30.5 pound sweetheart is very timid but is friendly with everyone he meets. To Cola, the world can be a scary place, but with patience, kindness, and a calm environment, his true personality will begin to shine. He loves soft voices, gentle pets, and being near someone who makes him feel secure. Cola would thrive in a home with someone who is willing to go at his pace and make sure he feels safe at all times. He is a young, energetic pup, so he would also do best with a more active family that will ensure he receives plenty of exercise and attention. Cola would be ecstatic to go home with another dog, as this will help him become more self-assured and comfortable in his new house. He truly opens up with another dog by his side! In terms of potty training, Cola is currently in a shelter environment where it's hard for staff to guarantee that he/she is fully house-trained. We tell everyone to treat your new shelter pup like a puppy when you bring them home to ensure that they learn your routine when it comes to a potty schedule.
