About Harley

Harley, a 5-year-old blue heeler, spent his whole life with his dad until circumstances changed and he found himself at the shelter just before Thanksgiving. He’s on the larger side for his breed, weighing around 52 pounds, and has always been well cared for. Harley is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and wormer, and currently going through slow-kill heartworm treatment; he’s handling it well and isn’t showing any symptoms. The noisy shelter environment has him a bit on edge, but he’s starting to settle in. He’s house trained and needs an adopter who genuinely understands and appreciates the Australian Cattle Dog’s temperament. Harley does not get along with other dogs, so he would do best as the only dog in a calm, experienced home. Give him a steady routine, clear expectations, and he’ll be loyal for life. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
