About Finn

Meet Finn: Finn doesn't just walk into a room. He wiggles into it. His whole body leads the way, tail going, eyes bright, already looking for someone to love on. He is, as his foster team has taken to calling him, pure "wiggles and giggles," and once you meet him, you'll understand immediately why that name stuck. At about a year old and around 44 pounds, Finn is right in the middle of his puppy-to-dog transition: big feelings, big energy, and a heart that is genuinely, completely open to people. He came to Show Me Your Pitties Rescue with a lot going for him, and he's only added to that list since. He's currently in board and train, where he has been thriving. Finn loves structure. He doesn't just tolerate it; he leans into it. Having clear expectations and consistent guidance helps him feel settled and confident, and he shows up to training like he actually enjoys it. Because he does. He is one of the most people-oriented dogs we've seen. Friendly, affectionate, always ready for a cuddle or a game, and absolutely committed to making you laugh at least once during any given interaction. He does have his quirks: the occasional fire hydrant gives him pause, a shadow in the wrong light will make him do a double-take, and reflections are occasionally a topic of concern. But he doesn't spiral. He looks to his person, gets a little reassurance, and moves on. That's not a liability; that's emotional atonement. Finn also has what we lovingly call "pibble nibbles." He loves gently mouthing his stuffed toys, his bedding, whatever soft thing is nearby. It's playful and puppy-ish, not destructive in intent, but worth knowing going in so it can be shaped and redirected as needed. Because he's athletic and can jump impressively high, a securely fenced yard is a must. He needs outlets, physical and mental, and he will do his absolute best work in a placement with someone who will continue his training and give him a job to do. New commands, trail runs, puzzle feeders, agility work, whatever form that takes, Finn will be there for it. If you are looking for a dog who will make you feel like the most important person in any room, who will greet every single day like it's a gift, and who will grow into a deeply devoted companion with the right structure behind him, Finn is your dog. We'd love to tell you more about what a placement with Finn looks like.
