About Doc

Click apply to start the adoption process. Doc’s journey began under the relentless Arizona sun, surviving the unforgiving heat alone when he should have been enjoying the comfort of a loving home. At just two years old, Doc showed incredible determination as he wandered the streets, holding tight to his resilient spirit. When rescuers found him, Doc was clutching an empty Dr. Pepper bottle, possibly searching for the last drops to ease his thirst—a sweet, resourceful quirk that inspired his name. Since arriving at Sky Sanctuary Rescue, Doc has bloomed into an affectionate, goofy presence, overflowing with personality and spreading smiles wherever he goes. His joyful nature shines through every interaction, never dimmed by the hardships he's faced. Doc has recently recovered beautifully from BOAS surgery to help improve his breathing, marking a major milestone on his road to better health and a brighter future. He's now eager to find a forever home where he'll be cherished, safe, and never have to fend for himself again. In return, Doc promises unwavering devotion and endless love to the family willing to give him the care he deserves. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
